Getting started

How does Repbolt work?
  1. Pick the apps that eat your day with Apple's Screen Time picker. They lock.
  2. Do a set in front of your camera. Every rep adds minutes to your balance.
  3. Spend minutes to unlock an app group for a while. When the time is up, it locks again.
How many minutes is a rep worth?

At the defaults, a push-up earns 1 minute and a squat 30 seconds. With Pro, pull-ups (3 minutes each), sit-ups, jumping jacks and plank (30 seconds held earns 6 minutes) also count, and you can set your own rates. Your balance has a cap, so one big workout can't buy a lost weekend.

The apps aren't locking
  1. Check Repbolt still has Screen Time access: iPhone Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access → Repbolt.
  2. Open Repbolt and check the app group is switched on and has apps in it.
  3. If you just changed Screen Time settings, restart your iPhone once.

Counting reps

How should I set up my phone?

Lean it against something steady, 2 to 3 meters away, so your whole body is in frame. Push-ups, sit-ups and plank count best side-on; squats and jumping jacks facing the camera; for pull-ups, put the phone on the floor facing the bar. Repbolt shows a tip before each set.

My reps aren't counting
Is the camera recording me?

No. Frames are analyzed on your iPhone as they arrive and thrown away. Nothing is saved or uploaded. See the privacy policy.

Pro features

Strict and Chill app groups

With Pro, you can make several app groups, each with its own price. A Chill group turns 1 earned minute into 2 minutes of use; a Strict group costs 2 earned minutes per minute. Put your worst apps in the strict one.

Apple Health steps

With Pro, turn on steps and allow Repbolt to read your step count. Walking adds minutes to your balance (5 minutes per 1,000 steps by default). Steps are read on your iPhone only.

What is Strict mode?

Strict mode stops apps from being deleted while they're locked, so you can't delete an app and reinstall it to get around the lock. Turn it off in Repbolt's settings when you need to.

Subscriptions

What's free and what's Pro?

Free: push-ups and squats, one app group and the standard unlock lengths. Pro: all six exercises, several app groups with their own prices, Apple Health steps, Strict mode, longer unlocks and full stats.

How do I cancel or restore?

Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period. To restore on a new phone, open Repbolt → Settings → Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting Repbolt

What happens to my data?

Everything is stored on your iPhone and is deleted with the app, and its app locks are removed. If Strict mode is on, turn it off in Repbolt first.
