1. Check that Alarms are allowed: iPhone Settings → Apps → Dawnlock → Alarms.
2. In Dawnlock, open Settings → Will it ring tonight? It checks the next ring is armed with iOS.
3. Alarms play at your Ringtone & Alerts volume: Settings → Sounds & Haptics.
4. Keep your phone charged. A phone that's off or dead can't ring.
5. Dawnlock arms alarms a few days ahead and tops them up whenever it runs. If you haven't opened it in a while, open it once.

Dawnlock needs iOS 26 or later.

Yes. Dawnlock uses Apple's alarm system, so it rings through Silent mode and Focus, on the Lock Screen and on Apple Watch, even when the app is closed.

On an alarm with a mission, iOS always shows a Stop button, so Stop (and the volume buttons) only buys you a minute: the alarm rings again until you do the mission. Tap I'm up and finish the mission to turn it off for the day. Want a few longer breaks first? Turn on Snooze in that alarm's settings.

That's on purpose. If an alarm with a mission is dismissed without the mission, backup alarms ring every minute or two, louder each time, until you do it. You can change the spacing in Settings → Re-ring every.

If the camera or motion sensor isn't available, or you've been trying for a minute, Dawnlock offers a backup mission (four hard math problems). There's also a Give up option: type "I give up" and hold the button. It turns the alarm off but resets your streak.

Stand where you took the reference photo, turn the lights on, and match the angle. You can retake the reference any time in the alarm's mission settings.

You pick apps with Apple's Screen Time picker. They lock at bedtime or when the alarm rings, and unlock as soon as your mission is done. They always unlock after your safety window (3 hours by default, in Settings), whatever happens.

Open Dawnlock → Settings → Emergency unlock. Emergency calls always work from the Lock Screen.

Connect your calendar in the Meetings tab. On the free plan, tap the bell on the meetings you want an alarm for. With Pro, every matching meeting rings automatically. Alarms show a Join button for Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and more. Your events stay on your iPhone.

Dawnlock is free for everyday alarms. Pro is $6.99 a month or $29.99 a year (prices vary by country) and unlocks the walk, photo and memory missions, the app lock after your free mornings, Strict mode, the wake-up check, automatic meeting alarms, smart wake and full history.

Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period. To restore on a new phone, open Dawnlock → Settings → Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

iOS can keep alarms an app has scheduled for a short while after the app is deleted. Before deleting Dawnlock, open Settings → Turn off every alarm.
