Terms of Use

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These terms apply to the Savings Lock app, made by Doveling. By using Savings Lock you agree to them and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.

What Savings Lock is

Savings Lock is a notebook and a lock for your own money habits. You set goals and a budget, record what you spend and save, and can lock apps you choose when you go over your limit. It never holds, moves or connects to your money, and nothing in it is financial, tax, legal or other professional advice. Figures it shows are worked out from what you enter and are estimates, not promises.

The app lock

The lock uses Apple's Screen Time system, which iOS controls. It always ends by itself (the next day, the next month or in the morning, depending on your setting), and you can open a locked app after a short pause unless you turned on Strict mode. With Strict mode on, apps can't be opened early or deleted while the budget lock is on. Don't lock apps you may need for work, travel, safety or emergencies.

Purchases

Your records

You're responsible for what you enter and for keeping your own backups. We can't recover data that was only on a lost or erased iPhone.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app.

Changes and termination

We may update Savings Lock and these terms. If terms change materially, we'll update the date above. You can stop using Savings Lock at any time by deleting it.

Disclaimer

Savings Lock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
