Snag helps you split bills and keep track of who owes whom. It has no accounts and no servers of its own, so the people and bills you put in it stay on your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what that means.
What stays on your iPhone
Your ledger. The names of the people you add, the bills and payments you log, their amounts, dates, categories, notes and trips are stored only on your device.
Your settings, such as your currency, the name shown on pictures you share, the look you pick and your reminder choice.
Reminders. The daily reminder and the "ask them" reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server.
Auto-log. If you set up the Shortcuts automation, iOS opens Snag after you pay; the amount it passes stays on your device.
What leaves your iPhone
Only what you choose to share. When you share a picture or text of what someone owes, or export a CSV, it goes wherever you send it with the iOS share sheet.
Purchases. Snag Pro is bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment; Snag only learns whether your Apple Account has Pro. We use RevenueCat to keep a record of purchases: it receives an anonymous app user ID (not your name, email or Apple ID) and your purchase receipts, never your bills or the people in them. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Email to us, if you write to support or use "Tell us why". It's sent from your own Mail app, and you see it before it goes.
That's it. Snag doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs (RevenueCat, above, is its only third-party SDK), and never asks for your email, phone number or contacts.
What we don't do
We don't collect your ledger: we have no server to send it to.
We don't track you across other apps or websites.
We don't sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Snag never connects to your bank or payment apps and never moves money.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Delete all data in Snag, or delete the app: everything Snag stored is removed from your iPhone. If you email us, we keep that email only as long as we need to answer it.
Children
Snag is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
