AbScore ("we", "the app") is a fitness-tracking iOS app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. We designed AbScore to keep your data on your device.
On your device only (never sent to our servers):
All of the above is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database. It is not uploaded to us, and we have no account system — we never see it.
Sent for processing, then discarded:
We route these requests through our own secure proxy (hosted on Cloudflare), which attaches an anonymous per-device identifier used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not build advertising or tracking profiles, and we do not sell data.
Your consent. The app shows a clear disclosure and asks for your explicit permission before it sends any photo or message to our AI provider for the first time — nothing is sent to the AI until you agree.
Our AI provider (Anthropic). The only third party that processes your content is Anthropic (our proxy on Cloudflare only passes it through), who processes it solely to generate your result under their commercial data-protection terms. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models and does not retain it beyond their standard API processing. See anthropic.com/privacy.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases: it receives an anonymous app user ID that AbScore generates (not your name, email or Apple ID) and your purchase receipts. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
AbScore includes Meta's Facebook SDK so we can see whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to people using the app. It sends Meta anonymous app events, such as the app opening, onboarding steps, a scan finishing, the paywall being shown and purchases, sometimes with a simple detail like the plan chosen or a score number. The SDK also sends basic device information (such as device model, iOS version and IP address). We never send your photos, scan images, coach messages, name or email. AbScore doesn't ask for permission to track you, so the SDK can't read your device's advertising identifier. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
AbScore is rated 17+ and intended for adults. It is not directed at children.
AbScore provides general fitness information for motivation. Scores and body-fat figures are visual estimates, not medical measurements. It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietetic, or fitness advice.
