Privacy Policy

Doveling is an app for two people in a relationship to privately share wishes, promises, to-dos, and memories. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.

Who we are

Doveling is operated by Akshit Kanaujia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@doveling.app.

Information we collect

• Account & identity. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a stable, app-specific Apple identifier and, on your first sign-in, the name you choose to share. We never receive your Apple password.
• Profile. A display name, an optional birthday, an optional couple "start date", and an optional profile photo.
• Your content. The wishes, promises, to-dos, and memories you create — including any text and photos you add.
• Device token. An Apple Push Notification token so we can notify your partner of activity. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
• Subscription status. Whether you have an active Doveling subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Apple — we never see your card or payment details.
• Minimal technical data. Standard server logs (e.g. timestamps, error diagnostics) needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• To provide the core service: storing your content and syncing it between you and your paired partner.
• To send notifications about your partner's activity (if you allow them).
• To enforce free-tier limits and unlock paid features for subscribers.
• To keep the service secure and debug problems.

Sharing

• With your partner. Content you add in a paired relationship is visible to the person you are paired with. That is the purpose of the app.
• Service providers. We use Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications, in-app purchases), Railway (application hosting and database), and Cloudflare R2 (photo storage). They process data only to provide their services to us.
• We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Photos

Photos you attach are uploaded directly to encrypted object storage (Cloudflare R2) and shown to you and your partner via temporary signed links. Deleting an item or your account deletes its photos.

Retention & deletion

• Unpairing. When you or your partner unpair, your shared space ends and its content (wishes, promises, to-dos, memories, and their photos) is deleted for both of you. This cannot be undone.
• Delete account. You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This erases your profile, your content and photos, your subscription record on our side, and your account itself. Your Apple subscription, if any, is managed by you in iOS Settings.

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with reputable cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

Doveling is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete everything yourself in the app, or contact us at support@doveling.app and we will help.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
